Karel van der Poel is the
founder and managing director of Blue-nova. Karel is a high-tech
Entrepreneur. He is co-founder and CEO of KPI
Library a business community for business manager, vendors and consultants who have an interest in Corporate Performance Management. Karel also is the founder and CEO of Mirror42, a software company focused on IT Performance
Management.
In 1999 Karel was part of the
team that started GorillaPark,
Europe’s leading business incubator and early stage venture
capitalist. From 1999 to 2002 he served as VP strategy and
research at GorillaPark and acted as a board member of GorillaPark companies.
From 1994-1999 Karel worked as
technology researcher and world wide product manager at PROLIN &
Hewlett-Packard. PROLIN was acquired by Hewlett
Packard in 1997. From 1997-1999 Karel worked as a product marketeer at HP and was responsible for the launch of HP ServiceDesk in 1999. HP ServiceDesk grew into an annual revenue business of over 30 Million dollar for HP in the subsequent 5 years.
